Keywords
A keyword is the first word you want a mobile user to type in an SMS message to a short code. Ask customers to text your BRAND NAME to 1245 to sign up for your customer club, for example. Keywords can be used for several purposes and SMS types.
Short codes
A short code is a short phone number that gives access to two-way communication with mobile users. With inMobile, you can use the short code 1245 in Denmark, for example. If you need to receive traffic from foreign mobile numbers, you can also access foreign short codes in inMobile.
SMS polls
Easily set up exciting and engaging SMS polls in inMobile. To participate, the mobile user simply needs to send a specific word (a voice option) + your chosen keyword to a short code.
SMS competitions
Set up SMS competitions in minutes in inMobile. Use links or short codes to set up your competition, for example. When a competition is over, you can also award one or more winners directly via inMobile.
Send SMS to a list on incoming SMS
Send a predefined SMS or forward the content of an incoming SMS to a predefined list when you receive an incoming SMS. The feature is frequently used with emergency SMSs where a list of recipients needs to be informed about a critical incident. Contact inMobile support if you want this feature set up.
View incoming SMS in Conversations

Keep track of your mobile users by organising them into lists. There is no limit to the number of lists and you decide what information you want to register on your mobile users.
Customised data fields
When you create a contact in inMobile, there are 6 optional data fields associated with the contact. They can be named to suit the type of data you want to associate with each field.
Blacklist contacts
Mobile users who unsubscribe via link or SMS are automatically added to your account blacklist. You can also add numbers manually. Numbers added to the blacklist will be blocked from receiving SMS messages sent from your account.
Manage mobile users via API
Create, update, or delete lists of mobile users. Download all contacts into one list or create a new contact in a list - all using the inMobile API.

Segment and target your SMS messages precisely
Use data and segmentation to tailor and target your messages to specific recipients. Integrate inMobile for additional data synchronisation or use features like list exclusion and optional data fields to target your broadcasts and ensure your SMS messages reach the right recipients.
Segmentation
Segment the recipients of your SMS messages based on data from your shop integration or self-imported data. This could be the latest order date, the total number of orders, or the total order sum, for example.
Exclude one or more lists
Exclude selected lists from your SMS broadcast. This could be a list of customers who have just shopped within the last 24 hours, for example. Depending on the data you have available, you can exclude contacts as befitting your strategy.
Send to selected lists
When sending an SMS campaign, you can tick multiple lists in the same broadcast and send a group SMS to many recipients at once. If the same phone number appears on multiple lists, inMobile will ensure that the recipient only receives one SMS from you.
Data from integrations
Integrate your shop system with inMobile and access relevant purchase data such as order date, total quantity or total order amount. Use this data to segment the recipients of your SMS messages.
Optional data fields
Use inMobile's optional data fields to supplement your contacts with unique data. Use this data to personalise your SMS broadcasts or for targeted segmentation.
Mobile number Cooldown
Exclude mobile numbers that have already received an SMS within a certain time interval (e.g. 48 hours) from your campaign. The interval is set when the feature is activated during setup of your SMS broadcast.
Design effective and personalised SMS messages
Design targeted, engaging, and relevant SMS messages without the need for technical expertise. Add personality with interspersed data fields, add links customised to recipient preferences, or select and customise SMS templates for efficient and fast execution.
Merge data fields
If your lists contain relevant data about the recipients, this data can be included in your SMS messages. For example, you can personalise the SMS by including the recipient's name or preferred product category.
UI templates
Easily create SMS templates and save time on your SMS broadcasts. This feature is ideal for those who need to send similar SMS messages repeatedly.
Templates via API
Create SMS templates that can be used repeatedly and save time on your SMS broadcasts. Your templates are automatically assigned a template ID that can be used when sending an SMS via the API.
Link shortener
Shorten your links in a trustworthy way - with your own domain. Short links carrying your brand name increase credibility and click-through rates, and may lower the SMS price. This feature requires that you have a subdomain set up.
Link tracking
Add automatic tracking on your links so you can measure your click-through rate. It's also easy to add UTM parameters if you use Google Analytics, among other services. All it requires is a subdomain.
Enter country code
Enter the country code when sending or scheduling an SMS message. inMobile then ensures that the SMS message is delivered to the correct recipient in the correct country.
Unsubscribe via SMS
If you send marketing SMS messages, having an unsubscribe option in the message is a legal requirement. To unsubscribe, the recipient sends an SMS with a specific keyword to a short code.
Unsubscribe via link
Make unsubscribing from your SMS list easy for your recipient with an unsubscribe link. All it requires is a subdomain in inMobile. An unsubscribe link also gives you an overview of your cancellation rate (CTR).
Broadcast in batches
Send your SMS message in batches and avoid overloading your server with massive traffic to your website. Splitting your broadcast into multiple batches is especially relevant if you send SMS messages containing links to many recipients at once.
Timed broadcast
Write and schedule your SMS broadcasts when it suits you, and use the schedule function to decide when to send the message to recipients.
Repeat broadcast
When sending SMS campaigns, you can send the same SMS message at a fixed interval using the Repeat Send feature. You may want to send the same SMS every 4 weeks or every 12 months, for example.
Customise your technical SMS settings
Take advantage of inMobile's technical capabilities to customise your business SMS communication. From auto blacklisting to creating sub-accounts, you get the tools you need to send valuable SMS messages.
Auto-blacklist
Enable auto-blacklist and avoid using resources on sending SMS messages to numbers that don't exist or can't receive SMS. Autoblacklist ensures that these phone numbers are automatically added to your blacklist.
Domains
Create a subdomain on your inMobile account and get access to powerful features such as link tracking, link cancellation, and link shortener.
Sub-accounts
Create multiple sub-accounts under the same main account and use inMobile for multiple purposes.
GSM-7 encoding
GSM-7 is a standard encoding that allows you to use the most commonly used letters and symbols in your SMS messages. By default, your inMobile account is set to use GSM-7, which means that one SMS can carry a maximum of 160 characters before it counts as two, etc.
UCS-2 encoding
UCS-2 encoding allows you to use special characters and other symbols in your SMS messages, which is not possible in GSM-7. Sending emojis in SMS, for example, requires UCS-2 encoding. If you switch to UCS-2, please note that one SMS is limited to a maximum of 70 characters.
Auto encoding
With auto encoding, inMobile automatically checks whether characters that are not valid in GSM-7 are used in your SMS message. If that's the case, the SMS message is converted to UCS-2 encoding. inMobile helps you deliver the cheapest SMS message possible, depending on the contents of your text. Auto encoding can be used if you send SMS via API or Email to SMS.
