Mobile number Cooldown: Promotions
When planning or sending an SMS campaign in inMobile, you can choose to activate the "Mobile number cooldown" feature.
The feature basically means that mobile numbers that have already received an SMS message from your company within a certain time interval will not also receive the SMS campaign you are creating. The time interval is set when you activate the feature.
This is a smart feature to activate if you want to avoid sending too many SMS messages to the same recipient within a short period of time.
In the video above, you can see how to activate Mobile Number Cooldown in Campaigns.
How to use Mobile Number Cooldown in Promotions
- Go to the "Campaigns" menu item.
- Click "New campaign" in the top right corner.
- Select the list, country and optionally segment for your broadcast. In the same step you can now choose to activate "Mobile number cooldown".
- Click the button next to "Mobile number cooldown" to activate the feature.
- Select your desired time interval*.
- Tap next and continue scheduling your SMS broadcast.
You can now be sure that your SMS broadcast will not be sent to mobile users who have already received an SMS message within your specified time interval.
*The time interval specifies the period of time within which your mobile users must have received an SMS message to be excluded from the SMS broadcast you are creating.
Benefits of Mobile Number Cooldown
There are some potential benefits of using Mobile Number Cooldown in your SMS campaigns.
Better customer experience
By not sending too many SMS messages in a short period of time, you show consideration for your recipients' time and attention. This can help strengthen customer perception of your brand.
Control your broadcasts
If you send SMS messages via several different functions in inMobile (e.g. SMS automations, SMS API or email to SMS), the Mobile Number Cooldown feature ensures that your recipients do not accidentally receive your SMS campaign shortly after they have already received an SMS message, for example from an SMS automation.
Fewer unsubscribes
By ensuring that your recipients do not receive multiple messages within a short period of time, you prevent potential unsubscribes from recipients who may feel overwhelmed by too many SMS messages in too short a time.
