Guide to setting up autoblacklisting
In inMobile you will find the Blacklisting feature.
Blacklisting means that once a number is part of your blacklist, messages will no longer be sent to that number. Neither using automations, integrations or promotions from this account.
How to set up auto blacklisting in inMobile
- Go to "Settings" in the menu and select the "Account" field.
- On your account page, you will find the "Autoblacklisting" tab.
- Tick the box "Enable autoblacklisting".
- Select the number of times the delivery of an SMS can fail before a phone number is blacklisted.
- Click on "Save changes".
- You have now activated the autoblacklisting feature and don't need to do anything else.
With our autoblacklist feature, you can save yourself a lot of money by automatically blacklisting the numbers that fail to deliver again and again.
When a delivery fails, there can be several reasons. If the phone you are trying to send a message to is not online, the operator will continue to try to deliver the SMS for up to 48 hours after sending. If this fails, the status of the message will change to "failed".
If this happens several times in a row, there is a high probability that the number is no longer in service or is otherwise invalid. In this case, it's best to get the number blacklisted.
Luckily, it's easy to set up auto blacklisting in inMobile and you can choose how many times delivery to a number should fail before a contact is added to the blacklist account.
Benefits of autoblacklist:
- You'll clean up your data on an ongoing basis - automatically.
- You save on SMS sending costs and avoid spending money on sending SMS messages to contacts that are no longer active or interested in your messages.
