Challenge - Time spent and error potential needed to be minimised
Funnel First Media's customer base ranges from the Danish Golf Union, clinics, and physiotherapists to Flying Superkids, pp Buses, and a variety of foreign customers. As a result, there are a lot of campaigns to keep track of and many booking confirmations to send out via SMS and email.
During the campaigns, people sign up via Facebook, for example, to register for an event, receive an offer, or buy a product. The leads' information is stored in different systems, and Funnel First Media sends emails and SMSes confirming that these people have signed up for the given offer. That's why Funnel First Media sends over 16,000 SMS messages via inMobile every month. SMSes that are essential to the entire customer journey.
And this is where inMobile and Zapier come into the picture, says Funnel First Media's digital designer, Kasper Toft Kristensen:
"Before inMobile's integration with Zapier, there were several things that could go wrong with text messaging. Previously, I had to encode text messages as a URL string and use a webhook. You had to be thorough, because if you didn't copy everything into the different systems, it just didn't work. It could be hard to see if there was a small error and the process took longer," explains Kasper, who is responsible for all backend setup around the campaigns at Funnel First Media.

Solution - "Zapier integration saves us time and money"
When inMobile completed their integration to Zapier in 2022, Kasper T. Kristensen got a much easier workflow for setting up SMSes for campaigns at the agency.
"inMobile's Zapier integration makes it super easy to automate SMS sending directly from Zapier. There are fields where you enter the SMS exactly as it is, and there is a field for recipient and sender, so it's super intuitive and easy to work with. It saves time and ensures that no mistakes are made."

In addition to making the SMS setup easier, the Zapier integration will also save Funnel First Media costs associated with SMS broadcasts.
"We save some steps in Zapier because it is now integrated with inMobile - and since you pay per Zapier step, we actually avoid some costs through the integration. You also have an overview of what's being written because it's all in one place. It makes everything much easier, much faster, and you're sure that it will work," says Kasper.
Result - From 3 minutes to 30 seconds
In general, SMS messages are preferable when you want to communicate quickly with your customers. In fact, the open rate of SMS messages is five times higher than emails, while 90% of all SMS messages are read within three minutes, which is why Funnel First Media is pleased that the message setup has become even more efficient:
"For us, it's just a small step in a Zap, but over time, we'll save big. It used to take about three minutes to set up an SMS, whereas now it only takes 30 seconds - and we're also sure that nothing has been missed along the way," says Kasper, emphasising the many benefits of SMS messages:
"I myself have an email inbox that gets ignored because there is so much spam and advertising content. But SMS is more direct and you're not competing with all sorts of other newsletters and things people can't remember signing up for. Everyone is used to opening their text messages when they arrive, so using SMS in our communication with customers makes perfect sense."
In addition to the Zapier integration, Funnel First Media has utilised a wide range of options in inMobile's system over the years.
"There are many things that make working with SMS messages great. You can personalise them, they're quick to produce, you can schedule the send-out, segment by postcode, and much more. These features, we use on an ongoing basis depending on the customer we work with. There's also a great statistics overview, so you can keep track of how many SMSes have been sent, and if something goes wrong in the broadcast, you can get a notification so it can be quickly corrected," says Kasper, who looks forward to much more work with SMS communication in the future:
"inMobile has been excellent at providing support if there have been issues, and they're good at offering ideas or help. And now that they have been integrated with Zapier, sending SMS has never been easier or more efficient!"
