Create HubSpot integration

With an integration between inMobile and HubSpot, you can start sending SMS from your HubSpot workflows in minutes.

There are two ways to connect HubSpot to inMobile. In this HubSpot guide, you'll learn how to create both types of HubSpot integration in inMobile.

Which method to use depends on whether you only need to send outgoing messages or if you need to both send outgoing and receive incoming SMS messages.

Integration option 1: Outgoing SMS

If you only need to send outgoing SMS messages from HubSpot, create your HubSpot integration under the "Integrations" tab in inMobile.

How to connect inMobile and HubSpot: Incoming SMS

  1. Go to your inMobile account and find the "Integrations" tab. Click here.
  2. Click "Create a new integration" and select the HubSpot integration.
  3. Decide which HubSpot field inMobile should retrieve your contacts' number from.

NOTE: You can either select the "Mobile number" field or the "Phone number" field. Your choice depends on which of the two fields you store your contacts' number in HubSpot.
  4. You will now be redirected to HubSpot. Log in and select the account you want to connect to inMobile.
  5. Click "Connect app" to authorise inMobile to connect to your HubSpot account.
  6. HubSpot will now shut down and you will be returned to your inMobile account. Here you tap "Save".

Your connection is now established and will appear in your inMobile integrations.

Integration option 2: Incoming and outgoing SMS

If you need to send outgoing messages as well as receive incoming SMS messages, create your HubSpot integration under the "SMS workflows" tab in inMobile.

How to connect inMobile and HubSpot: Incoming and outgoing SMS

  1. Go to your inMobile account and find the "SMS workflows" tab. Click here.
  2. Select the virtual number you want to connect to HubSpot.
  3. Tap "Create new setup" and select the "Forward to HubSpot" box.
  4. Select the same virtual number again.
  5. Decide whether you want to use an optional word* or not.

Note: If you select the option "Mobile user must write an optional word", only SMS messages containing the selected word will be sent to HubSpot. Therefore, we recommend that you do not choose this option.
  6. Decide which HubSpot field inMobile should retrieve your contacts' number from. You can either select the "Mobile number" field or the "Phone number" field. Your choice depends on which of the two fields you store your contacts' numbers in HubSpot.
  7. Click on "Connect". You will now be redirected to HubSpot.

NOTE: If you have previously connected to HubSpot using method 1, this step will not appear.
  8. Log in to HubSpot and select the account you want to connect to inMobile.
  9. The page will now close and you will be returned to inMobile. Here you tap "Save".

Your connection is now established and will appear in your inMobile integrations.

💡 Phone number or mobile number field?
Please note that when you add a number to a contact in HubSpot, it must always be in the same field you selected when setting up your integration - either "Phone number" or "Mobile number" - as HubSpot will always retrieve the contact's number from the selected field when sending an SMS message.
